Emmanuel Opendi
Emmanuel is a lawyer by training. He is passionate about investment, finance, and banking; areas in which he possesses exceptional industry knowledge and skills. He has a keen interest in business development support, sustainability and ESG governance as well as corporate finance and governance. He is also adept at conducting analysis and research and he possesses excellent writing skills.
Emmanuel is a Legal and Investment Consultant and has provided consultancy services in both the private and public sectors. He has served as a junior legal consultant during the land acquisition process for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP). He is an investment consultant to private investors targeting Microfinance Institutions and other SMEs providing them with support in market analysis, commercial due diligence, risk management and compliance as well as stakeholder management. He has also provided technical support to GIZ under a consultancy in Northern Uganda.
Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Financial Modeling and Valuation Analysis (FMVA) from the Corporate Finance Institute and is currently studying ACCA.
He has over 3 years of professional experience having worked with industry experts in the field of banking and finance as a research and teaching assistant. He has also gained industry and practical legal experience as a Junior Associate in the advisory department of a midsize law firm.
